NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is a gentle, dermatologically formulated skin moisturizer containing Medilan (medical-grade purified lanolin). It is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and non-greasy, making it suitable for babies, children, and adults.

Primary Uses

NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is used to relieve and manage various types of dry and irritated skin conditions, including:

• Dry, rough, and flaky skin
• Itchy and chapped skin
• Cracked or calloused skin
• Sunburn-affected skin
• Irritated hands caused by detergents or frequent washing

Dermatological Conditions

It is also beneficial as an adjunct care product for more persistent skin disorders such as:

• Eczema (atopic dermatitis)
• Dermatitis of various types
• Ichthyosis (severely dry, scaly skin)
• Mild to moderate psoriasis-related dryness

NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is a dermatological emollient formulated with a blend of moisturising and skin-protective agents, including:

• White Soft Paraffin BP – 14.5% w/w
• Light Liquid Paraffin BP – 12.6% w/w
• Anhydrous Lanolin BP – 1% w/w

Miscellaneous topical agents

The absorption of topical minoxidil can be increased by concurrent use topical soft paraffin. This could potentiate the hypotensive effects of vasodilators.

NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is generally well-tolerated when used as directed. However, in some individuals, mild skin reactions may occur.

Possible Side Effects

• Allergic skin reactions such as redness, itching, or irritation (rare)
• Worsening of acne in sensitive or acne-prone skin
• Hypersensitivity reactions in very uncommon cases

Important Note

Adverse effects are unlikely with normal use. However, if any irritation or allergic reaction develops, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

Pregnancy

NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy, as the active ingredients (white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin, and anhydrous lanolin) have minimal systemic absorption when applied to the skin. Therefore, exposure to the developing fetus is expected to be negligible.

However, like all topical preparations, it should be used with caution during pregnancy and only when clearly needed.

Breast-feeding

It is not known whether the components of NuvaCare 50 gm Cream pass into breast milk. Although systemic absorption is very low, a potential risk to newborns or infants cannot be completely ruled out.

• Avoid applying the cream directly on the breast or nipple area during breastfeeding
• Use with caution while nursing and follow medical advice if needed

NuvaCare 50 gm Cream is intended for safe dermatological use, but certain precautions should be followed to ensure effectiveness and avoid complications.

This cream has low toxicity. If accidental ingestion occurs, conservative treatment only is required. There have been no reports of overdose with use of NuvaCare.
