What is Spotclen Plus used for?
Hydroquinone is indicated - For the gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation. To reduce hyperpigmentation caused by photosensitization associated with inflammation or with the use of certain cosmetics.
What is the dosage of Spotclen Plus ?
Adult: This cream should be applied to the affected area and rubbed in well twice daily or as directed by a physician. Most discolorations begin to lighten after 3 or 4 weeks of treatment but it may take longer. After desired bleaching, use only as needed to maintain results of treatment. What are the side effects of Spotclen Plus ?
Transient erythema, mild burning sensations; hyperpigmentation. Staining and corneal opacities. Tremors and convulsions after systemic absorption. Occasionally, hypersensitivity.
Who should not take Spotclen Plus ?
Hydroquinone is contraindicated to patients with prior history of hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to hydroquinone or other ingredients in the preparation. Sunburn or depilatory usage. Children <12 yr.
What precautions should be taken with Spotclen Plus ?
Test for skin sensitivity before using by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin to check in 24 hours. Minor redness is not a contraindication, but where there is itching or vesicle formation or excessive inflammatory response, further treatment is not advised.
